| Annual Get-together and Lunch-on |

| The Laxapana Estate Staffs�?Welfare Society held its “Annual Get-together and Lunch-on�?on 16th January, 2010 at PMD Hall Maskeliya. It was an occasion well attended by members together with their families and a memorable one with several happy and eventful moments. The floor was merrily occupied by members dancing to the beat of a fine band with popular songs. |

| Their children were the most enjoyed ones who were enthralled with gifts. |
| It was also an event for the staff to move into the New Year with a high spirit and enriched energy. |

| World Children's Day Celebrations on 01/10/2010 |

| Laxapana Estate celebrated the day in a unique way, making it really a Children's Day. |
| 55 children from all five creches together with their parents and the Creche Development Officers (CDOs) made a trip to Colombo. They were first taken to the Veharamadevi Park where they were truly thrilled and enjoyed the outing there. Thereafter they were accompanied to the Zoo at Dehiwala. The CDOs gave them a brief explanation about the animals, birds, reptiles etc. The children had not seen elephants, lions, tigers, zebras, the apes before, lively at such a close range. |

| It was so with their parents too who appreciated very much the efforts by the management and staff towards the celebration. |
| On en route home they spent sometime in the Galle Face green, enjoying the cool breeze from the Indian Ocean. |

| Annual Excursion Of Employees |

| |
All Staff of Laxapana Estate together with their families and, all employees attached to the factory undertook a three day excursion to Trincomalee in the east of the country from 1st to 3rd of August, 2010. In this tour, they visited the Dambulla Cave Temple, Sigiriya, The Dutch Fort of the 17th centuary at Trincomalee, The Koneswaram Temple, the beautiful Nilaweli beach, Hot springs at Kinniya, and China Bay Jetty.
The Company contributed generously, as done annually towards this trip in appreciation of the excellent performance by them.
The staff and workers and their families delightfully enjoyed every moment of their excursion, of course with an expression of gratitude to the Company, for affording this opportunity to them, as the trip to this part of the country was a first experience to many of them, may be a dream ended in reality. |
